Original date of completion: Thursday, September 04, 2003 Comments then: This is probably one of my most notorious images. For some reason, lots of people seem to like it. I didn't know it would be anything big when I did it. I just thought it was good for a few chuckles.
Those of you who have played F-Zero GX will probably get this a little better, and you might even understand it, if you've played both that, and Star Fox. In the game, there is a character "coincidentally" named James McCloud -- Gasp! The same name as Fox's father! The dude even looks like James, and his machine looks like an Arwing.
Anyway, James being my sweetie's choice pilot, I saw a lot of carnage happen because of this menace on the track. He actually knocked like, 20-something (out of a possible 29) machines off the track, and won in the first track on Diamond Cup. Curse me, but I can't remember the name of it.
Well, watching that made me think of little Fox, probably idolizing his champion racing daddy. This is the result.
Comments now: It's positively shameful to me that this was once my most popular piece. The first time it'd been uploaded to DA, it had an absolutely ridiculous amount of comments and favorites in it's two-year run. I can't remember exactly how many, but on SheezyARt, it has 71 comments, and I'm pretty sure there's only like... 75 people that use that site. Kidding, kidding, but still. It's insanely popular given how little effort I put into it, and the quality leaves much to be desired, 'cause there's so much I can't stand about it now.
Well, I was one of those people who gave it a fave. Looking at it now, maybe he could have used his "eyebrows" or something. He looks like more like Tails than he does Fox. I still like it, though.

I thought I had this favorited once upon a time. In fact, I was telling my roommate about it about a week ago. I've always thought this was funny and cute. And well drawn, of course. Faving again.
As I have your gallery watched, I noticed a big dump of art from you. I just read your journal (just after commenting on the li'l McCloud pic) Good to have your art back. Makes me wonder what else I used to have fav'd from you that disappeared. You may get more fav's from me. After all, I was watching your gallery for a reason. And good luck on your return.
