Anyway. What on earth have I been doing? Here I am, over a month since my last entry, and you can just bet I have all kinds of updates, right?

C'mon. At the very least, I can say I made it out of my first quarter with two A's a B (in Algebra, thank God for miracles) and a 3.66 GPA.

With my three weeks of off time, I didn't practice my bass everyday like I said I was going to. I didn't finish any pictures like I said I was going to. I didn't update my website, or redo the layout like I said I was going to. What did I do?

I killed lots of zombies, whoohoo.

The new quarter's in session, and I am officially a culinary student, although being the artsy fartsy idealist I am, I prefer to call myself a fledgling chef. I even have a set of $250 knives, slip-resistant shoes, and the threads to match (yet sadly, not the toque, as I found out, commis (apprentices) don't get one).

But that's not even the greatest part~! </sarcasm> I'm now driving back and forth between south Metro-Atlanta and Gwinnett county twice a week. The hardest part of this whole thing is not the insane load of coursework we had dumped on us the first day, nor is it the forced group project that makes my skin crawl -- It's the commute. The morning trip isn't so bad, but as classes let out smack in the middle of rush hour, I'm always in a great mood when I get home. Apparently, from I-675 Eastward, no one knows how to use a turn signal, no one knows what "lane ends ahead" means, and all merging is to be done at 70mph. When people see my blinker, it must confuse them, because they speed up when I speed up, and slow down when I slow down, until I've missed my exit, at which point they blow past me.

...I don't know how I'm going to survive two years of this; I could really kill somebody.
